Sea and Land: Adventure in the Heart of Corcovado
2-Day / 1-Night Tour
Day 1: Puerto Jimenez to Sirena
The journey begins early, embarking from the public dock of Puerto Jiménez at 5:30 am in the company of an expert guide. During the sea journey of approximately 1.5 hours, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular sunrise and spot dolphins in their natural habitat.
Upon arriving in Corcovado, you will descend directly onto the beach, where you will have to get your feet wet when getting off the boat. After registering with the park rangers, you will begin a guided hike to the Sirena station, exploring the flora and fauna of the trails under the shade of the trees.
Once at Sirena, we will start the hikes in the morning, then you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch at the station before continuing to explore the forest in the afternoon. You can spot mammals such as tapirs, monkeys, and anteaters, as well as birds and reptiles. At nightfall, you will enjoy a dinner at the station and prepare to rest surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.
Day 2: Sirena to La Leona
After an early breakfast, you will start the hike to La Leona. The 20 km trail combines landscapes of dense forest and coast, offering you the opportunity to observe more fauna along the way. The journey of approximately 8 hours ends in Carate, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to Puerto Jiménez, arriving around 4:00 pm.
3-Day / 2-Night Tour
Day 1: Puerto Jimenez to Sirena
The itinerary follows the same scheme as the 2-day tour: boat transfer, registration in Corcovado, guided hikes on the trails near Sirena, lunch, afternoon exploration, dinner, and rest at the station.
Day 2: Exploration in Sirena
You will dedicate day two to exploring the various trails around the Sirena station. Your guide will take you to explore areas with a high concentration of fauna and will help you identify unique species such as tapirs, peccaries, felines, and tropical birds. After lunch, you will have the afternoon to continue exploring or relax at the station. The day culminates with a delicious dinner and another night in this magical natural refuge.
Day 3: Sirena - La Leona Hike
The last day starts early with the hike to La Leona, following the same route described in the 2-day tour.
