LA LEONA-SIRENA- DRAKE BAY
This tour is designed for those who wish to spend a bit more time walking in the heart of Corcovado Park and take the opportunity to visit Drake Bay, mainly to snorkel or dive at Isla del Caño (offered separately).
It begins with an exciting bus ride at 5:30 am from Puerto Jiménez to the community of Carate. Once there, the journey starts on a trail that crosses the dense and vibrant secondary forest, leading to the iconic La Leona station. After checking in and taking a brief break, an expert guide will lead us along trails that alternate between the jungle and the coast, in a fascinating quest for tropical biodiversity. As we advance, we will have the opportunity to cross rivers and discover the wildlife inhabiting this tropical paradise.
Approximately 8 hours later, upon reaching the Sirena station, after dinner, it will be time to rest in comfortable beds, surrounded by the magnificent darkness of the nocturnal forest. At dawn on the last day, we will be surprised by an early walk along the Sirena trails, ideal for spotting exotic species such as tapirs and peccaries. After lunch, a final walk to the beach will take place from where, at 1:00 pm, we will board a boat heading to Drake Bay. The maritime journey offers a unique experience, with the possibility of spotting playful dolphins, and ends in Drake Bay around 2:30 pm.
