DRAKE BAY - SIRENA - DRAKE BAY
Boat in, boat out.
Explore the Cradle of Global Biodiversity
2-Day / 1-Night Tour
The adventure begins early in Drake Bay, boarding the boat at 6:00 am. During the approximately 2-hour journey to Sirena Station, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the chance to spot dolphins or even whales. Arriving at Corcovado National Park around 7:30 am, you'll disembark on the beach and be welcomed by an expert guide. After registration at the park entrance, we'll take a short walk to visit the accommodation. Once you’ve dropped off your belongings at the lodge, the real exploration begins on the trails around Sirena. This area is home to an incredible variety of wildlife: tamanduas, monkeys, coatis, and, if you’re lucky, even a puma. After lunch, weather permitting, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of Río Claro before heading back to the lodge. The night will be peaceful and comfortable, resting in a cozy bed surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.
Rise early for a pre-dawn walk to experience the forest coming alive. After breakfast, you'll continue exploring the trails as your guide helps you spot more wildlife and uncover the secrets of the jungle during the early hours of the day. You’ll return to the lodge to pack your belongings before boarding the boat back to Drake Bay at 1:00 pm. On the return journey, there’s still a chance to spot dolphins and other marine species, concluding an unforgettable experience.
3-Day / 2-Night Tour
The first day follows the same itinerary as the 2-day tour, with your arrival at Sirena, exploration of nearby trails, a possible break at Río Claro, and a restful night at the lodge.
The second day is fully dedicated to exploring the primary rainforest trails surrounding the station. This ecosystem is home to one of the planet’s richest concentrations of biodiversity. Your guide will lead you through the impressive vegetation and help you spot species such as macaws, tapirs, and reptiles. After a day full of adventure, you’ll return to the station for dinner and another night at the lodge.
On your final day, start early with a walk through the forest after breakfast. Take advantage of the morning to spot more active wildlife before returning to the lodge to prepare for departure. The boat back to Drake Bay will leave at 1:00 pm. During the final journey across the ocean, enjoy the views and the possibility of spotting dolphins or whales if the season allows, wrapping up this unique 3-day experience.
